Richard Holbein,
President of Holbein Associates, Inc. has over thirty years of investment
consulting, portfolio management, performance measurement, and plan sponsor
experience. Mr. Holbein is an invited speaker on investment topics at
international, national, and regional seminars and conferences. He has
created computer models for investment performance monitoring and asset
allocation for major corporations. He has conducted numerous private equity
searches, opportunistic real estate searches, traditional investment manager
searches, custodian/trustee searches, and established investment policies
for many plans including appropriate asset allocations to the alternative
investment asset class.
Prior to forming Holbein Associates he was
Director of Merrill Lynch Pension Asset Consulting - Southwest. Before
joining Merrill Lynch, he was responsible for the retirement assets of
Continental Airlines.
Richard Holbein attended Vanderbilt University
under scholarship, and graduated with a degree physics. He has an MBA in
Finance, cum laude, from the American University, and has completed the
Investment Management Program of the Stanford University Graduate School of
Business. He is a Vietnam veteran, and was an Officer and fighter pilot in
the United States Marine Corps.
Harlow Tripp
joined the firm early
2006. Building on a BA Economics from the University of Calgary, Mr. Tripp
interned with Holbein Associates while completing MBA Corporate Finance from
the University of Dallas in 2005. Mr. Tripp mentored under Richard Holbein,
avidly getting up to speed on current client relations, performance
measurement, and manager search analytics.
A level I CFA candidate,
Mr. Tripp targets to complete his CFA designation late 2008, and assume
Consultant responsibilities with Holbein Associates.
